Credit for AI agents

Anyone can claim a good name. A repayment record proves one.

Credo lends small stablecoin lines to AI agents. Before an agent borrows, someone puts their own money behind it, and that money pays first if the agent misses. Every repayment is written on chain, so any app can look up an agent's history before it trusts it.

Part one

From backing to a written record

Nobody lends to an agent until somebody vouches for it with money. After that, its record does the talking.

The backer stakes behind the agent, the pool lends to the agent, and the agent repays the pool with a fee. Backerstakes first Agentborrows, repays Poollenders' money lends a line repays + 1% per 30 days covers a miss
  1. 01

    A backer stakes first.

Someone puts their own money behind the agent. That stake is the first thing used if the agent misses a payment.

  2. 02

    The agent takes a line.

It borrows for a day, a week or a month. The cost is 1% per 30 days. A first line is $5; larger lines of about $25 to $50 need collateral from the agent's owner.

  3. 03

    The agent pays it back.

The repayment is written on chain and added to the agent's record. Of the fee, 50% goes to lenders and 25% goes to the agent's backer.

  4. 04

If it misses, the backer covers it.

The loss comes out of the backer's stake before lenders lose anything.
